What’s new 21 updates · latest October 16, 2026
  1. Violet released — new hero added

    • Violet (Carry, C tier) added as hero #43 — won the community vote over Nurse Harrow, released October 16, 2026.
    • Full 16-item Standard build: spirit-scaling gunner (Rapid Rounds, Extended Magazine, Intensifying Magazine, Headhunter) with Living Ink cooldown refunds, Still Life sketch channels, and Mercurial Magnum + Colossus late.
    • Max order: Living Ink → Still Life → Flow State → Abstract Landscape (ult last).
    • Copy build payload verified (real Zstandard frame) and Final Build panel included from day one; skill order is LOW CONFIDENCE until the meta settles.
  2. Eternus data layer — real match stats on builds

    • Standard build items now carry Eternus-rank stats (badge 111-116, last 30 days): pick rate, win rate when bought, and average buy time, with Core (≥50% pick) and Flex (20-50%) tags.
    • Tier list is now computed from Eternus win rates (500+ match floor, as of 2026-10-15); heroes below the floor keep their hand-set tier with a data-thin badge.
    • Ability priority sections now show the most-played Eternus upgrade order and its win rate next to the curated order, where data exists.
    • Why-notes, situational picks, combos, alt builds, skill-up tracks and game-import payloads are unchanged — stats are a new layer, not a replacement.
  3. Deadman Danny released — new hero added

    • Deadman Danny (Assassin, C tier) added with a full 16-item Standard build: spirit-opener (Extra Spirit, Mystic Burst) into mark-charged-shot scaling (Rapid Rounds, High-Velocity Rounds, Mystic Shot, Long Range) with dual lifesteal and a Colossus late game.
    • Ability priority: Strix Salvo → Jettison Fuel → Chimera Mk1 → Close The Deal, with a 16-step skill-up track and 3 combos (mark-detonate-dive, overheat backblast, dive bomb into ult execute).
    • Day-1 data is thin: tier C is a conservative placeholder and the skill order is wiki-based speculation. Will revisit once match data exists.
    • Two heroes remain in the City Never Sleeps rollout: Nurse Harrow, Violet.
  4. Solomon released — new hero added

    • Solomon (Mage, C tier) added with a full 18-item Standard build: Extra Spirit / Mystic Burst opener into a spirit-power core (Improved Spirit, Mystic Vulnerability, Surge of Power, Torment Pulse) with Veil Walker playmaking and a Colossus / Boundless Spirit late game.
    • Ability priority: Rook Battery → Setup Bishop → Kingside Knight → Develop Queen, with a 16-step skill-up track and 3 combos (rook immobilize into bishop drag, bishop squares into queen leap, self-cast knight barrier into queen dive).
    • Day-1 data is thin: tier C is a conservative placeholder and the skill order is theory-backed, not stats-backed. Will revisit after his first balance patch.
    • Three heroes remain in the City Never Sleeps rollout: Deadman Danny, Nurse Harrow, Violet.
  5. 24 crosshair codes added

    • Browse every ready-made dot, cross, hybrid, and frame with a visual preview.
    • Copy any paste-ready share code in one click, then paste it into Deadlock’s Reticle settings. Each code is format-checked for valid structure and checksums.
  6. Builds rebuilt to win, not just to learn

    • All 40 hero builds audited; 31 rebuilt for win-optimization. Every early/mid item now either upgrades into the late game or provides a specific power spike — no more dead beginner items.
    • New Warden Spirit Burst alternate (17 items): Mystic Burst → Surge of Power → Superior Cooldown / Diviner's Kevlar / Mystic Slow, for the heavy-spirit frontline game. The Gun Carry alt stays.
    • Biggest reworks: Vyper (now a committed Toxic Bullets → Point Blank → Frenzy slide-spray gun build), Wraith (16-item Quicksilver Reload + Intensifying Magazine gun-carry progression), Kelvin (16-item slow-control + Frozen Shelter sustain engine), Seven (committed Storm Cloud spirit build; role updated to spirit storm carry), Calico (spirit-burst assassin), Haze (Fixation-headshot win condition).
    • Data corrections from live API verification: fixed wrong categories (Phantom Strike, Colossus, Tankbuster, Dispel Magic, Quicksilver Reload, Spirit Rend, Siphon Bullets, Recharging Rush, Spirit Strike), wrong prices (Berserker, Hunter's Aura, Melee Charge, Mystic Vulnerability, Healing Nova, Surge of Power), and the stale name 'Spirit Shredder Bullets' → 'Spirit Shredder'.
    • Surgical fixes: Venator Berserker → Headhunter (Berserker rewards taking damage — anti-synergy on a backline duelist); Abrams dropped Bullet Resist Shredder for Spirit Resilience; Paige's dead Restorative Locket → Reactive Barrier; Grey Talon Surge of Power → Mystic Vulnerability.
  7. Paste builds straight into the game

    • The Copy build button now copies the build in the game's own format — paste it into the Build Editor's Paste Build and the items, categories, and ability order import directly.
    • A second Copy as text button keeps the human-readable version for sharing elsewhere.
    • Also fixed five outdated item names to match the game: Basic Magazine → Extended Magazine, High-Velocity Mag → High-Velocity Rounds, Improved Cooldown → Compress Cooldown, Improved Burst → Tankbuster, Spirit Shredder Bullets → Spirit Shredder.
  8. Copy build button

    • Each hero page now has a Copy build button that copies the entire build (items in buy order with prices, ability max order, skill-up order, combos) as clean text in one click.
  9. Level-by-level skill-up orders

    • Every hero now has a 16-step skill-up track: which ability to take at each unlock, when to grab the ult, and the exact 1 AP / 2 AP / 5 AP upgrade sequence.
    • Includes a quick explainer of how ability points work (unlock free, upgrades cost 1/2/5 AP, 32 total).
  10. Ability icons in combos

    • Combo sequences now show each ability as its in-game icon with the name underneath, instead of text only.
    • Ability priority section also shows icons for each step.
    • Covers all 172 abilities across all 43 heroes.
  11. Troll-pick audit — 8 bad items replaced

    • Audited every item across all 40 heroes (main, alternate, and situational builds) against pick/win-rate stats and guides.
    • Removed 8 confirmed troll picks: Siphon Bullets on Calico; Headhunter, Crippling Headshot and Tankbuster on Kelvin's Gun Carry; Torment Pulse and Headhunter on Warden; Toxic Bullets on Warden's Gun Carry; Healbane on Rat King (it only procs on spirit damage).
    • Each replaced with a verified meta pick (e.g. Leech, Glass Cannon, Spellslinger, Surge of Power).
    • Also fixed stale prices/categories/notes: Infuser on Infernus, Cultist Sacrifice and Headshot Booster on Seven, plus 4 alt-build entries and 5 incorrect item notes.
    • 15 heroes came back fully clean; 32 borderline picks were left alone as playstyle calls.
  12. Meta audit — Rat King tier adjusted

    • Audited all item prices, ability orders, and tiers against the Oct 5 patch: everything current except one entry.
    • Rat King moved from S to A: his S tier was based on the pre-nerf 60.7% day-one win rate; the Oct 5 patch heavily nerfed his ultimate (Rule, Ratannia!).
    • His build and ability order are unaffected — they were researched after the patch. Tier is provisional until ranked data settles.
  13. Baba joins the guide

    • 40th hero: Baba (Mage, C tier) with full 16-item build, ability priority, 4 situational items, and 3 combos.
    • Day-one data — her build will sharpen as the meta settles; tier is provisional.
  14. Rat King joins the guide

    • 39th hero: Rat King (Bruiser, provisional S tier — 60.7% win rate since launch).
    • Full 16-item build, ability priority (Rat Swarm first), situational items, and combos.
    • Build note: his lifesteal works at 75% effectiveness, so the build avoids lifesteal items.
  15. Promo banner update

    • Top banner now highlights the offer: apply code 0NS5DG in Settings and get 1B free tokens.
    • Copy-code button and muse.ai sign-up link unchanged.
  16. Heroes grouped by role

    • Hero picker now groups all heroes into Carry, Assassin, Mage, Bruiser, Tank, and Support sections.
    • Search and tier sorting still work across all groups.
  17. Alternate builds added

    • 26 heroes now have a second build tab (e.g. Victor Gun Carry, Wraith Burst Assassin, Kelvin Gun Carry).
    • Each alternate includes a 'when to use this' line so you know which build fits your game.
    • 12 heroes have only one true playstyle and stay single-build — no filler variants.
  18. Ability orders, situational items & combos

    • Every hero now shows which ability to max first, with a one-line explanation.
    • Situational items section: what to buy against specific threats (fed carry, heavy healing, CC-heavy teams…).
    • Combos section: bread-and-butter ability sequences with when to use them.
  19. Pro tier list added

    • Every hero now carries an S–D tier badge from current pro/ranked data (Oct 6, 2026).
    • Picker can sort by tier, S first. Spirit heroes dominate the current meta.
  20. Item data corrections

    • 8 item prices/categories corrected against the wiki (e.g. Lifestrike is Vitality 3200, Spirit Snatch is Spirit 3200).
    • Affected heroes: Abrams, Calico, Infernus, Paige.
  21. Site launched

    • 38 playable heroes, each with a complete beginner-to-endgame build in left-to-right buy order.
    • Every item shows its image, price, and a one-line explanation; hero picker with portraits and search.
